From one of my favorite Christian thinkers, Henri Nouwen:
Us to a flower: “Why can’t you be useful? Can’t you get busy someway?” Flower: ‘I am sorry, sir, but I am just here to be beautiful.’”
In other words, the teacher’s role is first to help a person realize who he/she is in Christ, and then by that fact, what he/she is to do.
