VoyageDallas Interview: Meet Jacqueline T. Hill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Hill.

Jacqueline, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?

My name is Jacqueline T. Hill. I’m a certified teacher turned entrepreneur and business owner. I write for various platforms, blog and help businesses with marketing strategies and solutions for their services and products. Thus, I show business owners how to leverage their skills, products, and services in their specific markets.

At first glance, my transition began January 27, 2017, from part-time to full-time. I had two businesses as Graphic Designer, Writer and Web Designer. I worked part-time on these businesses and was a full-time high school English teacher. I created a lot of advertisement graphics and attractive websites for people, tutored many people in writing and was a ghostwriter and editor.

Many events led me to change to full-time entrepreneurship. I took each experience as a sign that I needed to be in a different space to help business owners. These encounters also confirmed my desire to assist business owners in a way that could make money and have happy lifestyles. I miss the students terribly. But, I knew transitioning to my business full time would give me more freedom to even help them in a greater capacity. Interestingly, I had Entrepreneurs in my classroom. And I didn’t stop them from making money. If anything, I used their zeal and business minds in some of my daily lessons.

I was born and raised in New Jersey. This is where my two businesses began. Upon landing to visit some friends in Texas, I said to myself, “wow! I can live here.” Two months, an apartment and teaching position later, I moved here with no regrets. This is a great place to move to and start a business.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way Jacqueline T. Hill?

Like any business, there are both positives and negatives; strengths and weaknesses. The objective is to look at what you can learn from the negatives and weaknesses. The golden question remains: how can I make this area better, or improve? I mention this because when the down times come they can feel overwhelming. Being a New Jersey native, I struggled initially with knowing the DFW market. We are culturally different—even with buying and selling. So, I had to come up with different strategies to find my ideal customers and clients.

Also, using social media marketing required specific strategies and planning. It is very wise to study the market and review lots of data.

Data drives your planning and strategy for marketing.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Living Acts – what should we know?

I currently write for various online publications, blog and have weekly podcasts. My writings and podcasts offer business tips and lifestyle advice. I also offer business consulting services showing business owners how to leverage their skills, products, and services in their specific markets. My company evaluates websites, marketing plans, and social media platforms to ensure alignment, presentation and content are used correctly for their target audience, we help companies with lead generation, increased traffic and to generate increases in sales. I create customized plans for each business, provide solutions and shift weak areas to solid, concrete strengths for the company. I also help new businesses gain more reach and exposure to an audience of over 500K in less than 30 days.

What uniquely sets my company apart from others is the ability to get business owners quick results, more reach and exposure, social proof and boost their social media engagement. All of this is key because it helps to build relationships with your ideal clients and customers. This bridge is the great connector.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?

My family, mentors, and clients are my biggest supporters. They push me and help me excel in great ways. They’re also big donors. They assisted in ensuring this business gets off the ground. They understand how much it means to me to help others and trust my word because they see results. These cheerleaders know for any special occasion to give monetary gifts towards the business and books for myself & professional development. Their monetary contributions have helped to sponsor many of my small business clients with their marketing needs.
